Hi I'm Lyman

I'm a twin, I'm a runner, I'm a ukulele/guitar player, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City and when I turned 10 years old me and my family moved to a small town named Cedar City. I love my family a ton and I miss them a lot! I have a twin brother, an older brother, two older sisters, two cats, one dog, and three horses. :) At home I studied chemistry at college and I later plan on going to medical school to become a Cardiologist. I love to do all sorts of things and I can get kind of crazy sometimes. :) I love sports and I have played Football, Wrestled, ran Cross Country, and Track (800m / 1600m). I really love to go running and I also love to go skiing. One summer I decided to learn how to play the "ukulele" and by the end of summer I had fallen in love with it and I liked it so much that I decided to learn guitar too! Now one of my most favorite things to do is to just go up to the mountains with a ton of friends, bring my ukulele or guitar, make a campfire, and sit around it all night long laughing, singing songs, and roasting marshmallows. Most of the time when your around me, I just want to have fun and I am a total goof! I love to laugh and smile, I love my life, and I love to enjoy it! :)

Why I am a Mormon

My story is pretty simple and I would call it: normal. I was born and raised in this church and my family taught me about it ever since I was young and they taught me it was true. Every Sunday would go to church and then multiple times throughout the week and my whole life I grew up thinking and believing that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was true. But after time when I went to church I would hear so many people talking about their own personal experiences and that they "know" that this church is true, and when I looked at myself I realized I didn't have any of these experiences and that deep down in my heart I didn't know for sure. I realized that there comes a time in everyone's life where you need to do some personal soul searching and find out what do YOU really believe. At that point I decided I would start doing the things that I was taught and I started to read the scriptures and I started to pray and I started to find out if God was there and if what I had been taught was true. It has taken a lot of time, but I have had answers to my prayers and have had many experiences and I can now say that I do "know" that this church is true and that God does exist and is there and cares for us and I am so grateful for him in my life. Now that I have learned and received my own personal answers to my prayers, this church has been the biggest part of my life and it always will. Being a Mormon has helped me throughout my whole life and I have had so many great experiences from spiritual experiences to just having plain good old "fun"! It also has helped me and my family so much and has brought us closer together and if anyone is looking to help there family, I can promise you that there is no other better way than through God. :)

How I live my faith

Currently I am a missionary in Slovenia in the city Ljubljana and I love it! Everyday I wake up at 6:30am, get ready, eat, read scriptures and by 10:30am I am out the door and I talk with people on the street exactly about what my faith is and how I love it! Then after a long day of work I get home at 9:00pm and get ready for the next day. Being a missionary has changed my life, and even more - my view on life. My faith is the most important thing for me and I love to share it! If you are reading this and you met me on the street, please call my number and we can talk more about my experiences and exactly what it is to be a Mormon and why it is important. :)
