Hi I'm Marilee

I'm a missionary, I love my family, and I am a Mormon

About Me

I love my family and feel very privileged to have been born into my family. I am the oldest of 14 kids. My family is very unique as we are all born in girl-boy-girl-boy order except for the last two (2 girls). My youngest brother David has Down Syndrome. I love being able to work with him to help him learn the words and ASL signs for words and do physical therapy. Together my family loves doing track and cross country together. We also all love to sing together. My hobbies are painting, reading, writing poetry, singing, and running. Education is very important to my family and my faith. After I finish my mission I plan on attending a university and receive my bachelors degree.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, but it must be understood that I choose to be a member of this church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and know that it is the true church upon this earth. There came a time in my life that I knew that I needed to sincerely seek to know whether the Book of Mormon is true and if I was going the right direction in my life. Every night I would read the Book of Mormon and ask to know whether it was true. I had no dramatic witness, but I felt within my heart that it is true so surely that I know that I will never be able to deny it. Since then my testimony has grown. I have my own challenges, just like anybody, and through the Atonement of Jesus Christ as well as the Book of Mormon, the Bible, prayer, Church, and other resources I am able to grow stronger.

How I live my faith

I believe that the biggest way that I live my faith is through service. I try everyday to find ways to serve my fellow man. At this moment serving a full time mission. I love God and serving Him is the most important thing I can do. I love teaching people about the church and serving the people I meet.
