Hi I'm Jessie

From South Jordan Utah. Ran collegiate track. Speak Thai. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I graduated from Utah State University in Family Science, where I also ran track during that time. I am 26 years old. I am single and help run a business with my brother in-law. I love to be active and fit. I love lifting weights and seeing how strong I can get, and helping others get there as well. I went on a mission to Thailand and love Thai food. I love to laugh and to quote movies and be with my family. Family is the greatest treasure there is in my life. I love to work hard in the yard and in gardens. My father taught me how to work hard and be honest with people. I also love to cook, bake, and create. For the past 6 years I have struggled with bulimia and it has been hard to overcome but I am very happy to say; "That ship has sailed"

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but I knew that I needed to find an answer for myself and knelt and prayed to know the truth. I was able to feel a comforting feeling of peace in my soul and have never wanted to part from that feeling ever again. Knowing that the Savior loves all of us can be more understood through the Book of Mormon and I know that this book is true. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father, and His son, Jesus Christ. We have a prophet who guides us with love from our Savior. I know these things are true and I cannot deny it. It gives me hope in these dark and troubled times, knowing that Good will always overcome the evil.

How I live my faith

I am a teacher in my ward, and I am grateful to have that calling. It has been very humbling for me and shows me that I don't know much about the Gospel, but I know that My Father in Heaven loves me and helps me learn more and improve myself while teaching my peers. I am very family oriented and I think that family is the most important thing in the world. I try to be a good example for my 29 nieces and nephews and respect my siblings. I love visiting ward members and talking with people. I believe that the Best example of faith is Jesus Christ.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Mormons help everyone who are in need. Joseph Smith said it best when he said; "Joseph Smith himself taught that we are "to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to provide for the widow, to dry up the tear of the orphan, to comfort the afflicted, whether in this church, or in any other, or in no church at all." The best example is the Savior. We as members must heed to this and live it like the Savior did. Show more Show less
