Hi I'm Harrison

I own a lawn mowing business and I am serving a mission in the Brazil Manaus Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in the Brazil Manaus Mission. I am the middle child of 7 kids. I'm 18 and I just graduated from high school. I love math and science. My mom thinks I'm crazy because I like calculus. I love learning about the human body. Everything about it just fascinates me. I want to major in Physiology at BYU when I return from my mission and then become some sort of doctor, but I'm not sure what type. I play lacrosse with my two best friends and my brother. I play mid fielder and I also do face-offs. My favorite part about lacrosse is scoring, obviously. I'm also a swimmer. My favorite race is the 100meter Freestyle. I like to play the piano and the ukulele.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon! My top reason is probably because of the standards. The Church has published a pamphlet for youth call For the Strength of Youth. It has most of the standards that we obey as a Mormon; everything for Dating to Repentance. I love this little booklet. It is packed with council straight for the Prophet and Apostles. Without these standards in my life, I don't know where I would be. They keep me on the straight and narrow path that leads to happiness. I'm also a Mormon because of my testimony. The Holy Ghost has testified to me that this is truly Jesus Christ's church on the earth today. I have read the Book of Mormon many times and I know that it really is a record of God's dealings with the people of ancient America. I now it's all true, everything, and I cannot deny it. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by choosing the right. In high school, the school dances like Homecoming and Prom. were always dirty. Some of the girls didn't dress modestly and there was always dirty dancing. Me and my friends didn't like this and we wanted to choose the right. So we created of own dance. Everyone dressed modestly and there was no dirty dancing. We invited anyone who wanted to come to higher ground with us. It was so much fun! I also live my faith by being an example to others as Christ was/is. I don't swear or talk badly about others. I try to lift others up. When I can tell someone is lonely or having a bad day I try to be there for them. If someone is sitting alone at lunch I will go over and talk to them. Everyday I try to think of my Savior and what He would do if He were in my shoes.
