Hi I'm Denali

I love humanitarian work, music, my family, and sloths. I love any type of adventure. I'm currently a missionary and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student, taking a break to serve a mission in Denmark. My family is my world. My siblings and my parents are my closest friends and I would be lost with out them. Words can't describe how much I love them. I love going to different countries and learning about different cultures. I've been to India and The Dominican Republic on humanitarian trips. I love doing just about anything if it's in the great outdoors. I like to hike, run, and climb. I love getting dirty. I have a passion for music. I love creating it, listening to it, or dancing to it. I believe that music can enhance any moment in your life. My guitar is one of my best friends. I love making videos. I love a good cheesy movie. I love a good prank. Laughing is one of my favorite hobbies. I collect plungers. I get frustrated that I don't cry when I cut onions. I love bucket lists. I love dinosaurs. Wednesday is my favorite day of the week because it's the day I wear my wildlife clothes. I wish I was good at matchmaking and I love any wedding with a good dance party. Harry Potter was my world growing up, so I am a big fan. I love being a kid and I don't think I'll ever grow up. I love life. I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It's my favorite thing about me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt the truthfulness of this church. It's a feeling that I don't think I could ever explain to anyone correctly, because it's so powerful. It's a feeling that I could never deny. I am not a Mormon because my parents are, or because a lot of my friends are. I am a Mormon because I have asked God sincerely if this is the truest church on earth. The Spirit has told me that it is. Not only do I feel the truthfulness but it just makes sense to me. The standards and commitments keep me from unwanted and unnecessary strife. Life is already complicated. The commandments I keep make life easier. The gospel of Jesus Christ just makes me so incredibly happy. It's not just a Disneyland kind of happy, it's an eternal happiness that I only feel through Christ. There have been a few things that I've had a problem agreeing with in the church. Every time I have doubts or questions, I pray and am always comforted and every doubt is put to rest consistently. The feelings I get overcome all reason and logic. I think that God didn't put everything right in front of us, because if we had that we wouldn't have to exercise our faith. This life is a test and that is the purpose of it. Living this gospel inspires me to always help others. Knowing I'm a daughter of God gives me so much purpose and hope. This gospel has made me into everything I am today and I don't regret being apart of it for one second. I love Jesus Christ and his restored Gospel.

How I live my faith

Right now, I am getting ready to serve a full time mission in Denmark. I am putting school on hold and dedicating my life for 18 months to the Church of Jesus Christ. I am about to embark on an adventure where I will help others come to Christ and come to know of His love for them. I'm so excited to share the joy that I have felt with others.
