Hi I'm Sara Wilde

I've got a great family, big dreams, and a bright future. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live and breath music. I have 3 younger sisters, 2 older step brothers and 2 younger step brothers. I love my family and would never make it through this life without them. They keep me going all the time. I've attended Snow College for a year, and I loved it!! Being so close to the temple was really important for me at that time in my life. I've always been very blessed to have this church in my life, and to have the knowledge, not just a belief that it is true.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this church is true. That's all there is to it. I've questioned it numerous times, even while being on my mission, and every time I get the answer, "You've always known it's true." I firmly believe that prayers are answered and that we just need to ask and listen. A loving Heavenly Father will not lead us astray. I trust Him, and look to him for answers to my questions.

How I live my faith

I guess the best example that I have is that I'm serving a mission for this church. All day, everyday I get to talk with people and tell them about God and His love for us. It's the most fulfilling thing I've ever done, and I've never been happier. I love telling people about this church, and about my own conversion. I love hearing about their own dedication and devotion to Christ. I also read the scriptures and apply them to myself, and continually try to improve and become the person that Heavenly Father wants me to be.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Sara Wilde
Families are forever, for always and no matter what! They are ordained of God. When we are worthy to enter the temple, we can be sealed to our family. Whatever is bound on earth is bound in heaven, if it is bound by one with authority given by God. We are so blessed to live in a time with all the blessings of the gospel, including eternal families. I am so grateful for mine. Show more Show less

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Sara Wilde
It's important to take care of our bodies because they are a special gift that God has given us. That's the whole reason why we are here, is to receive a body like God's own. Imagine this: You father gives you this beautiful painting. One just like what he has. Would you draw all over it? Or put holes in it? No, I'm pretty sure you would do anything to keep that valuable painting or work of art, if you will, original, and just the way you received it. You would respect it. You would show great love and care for it. That's all God asks of us when we receive our bodies. He asks that we take care of them. Our bodies are called temples because temples are sacred. We don't defile them because they are so sacred. In this context we are told that our bodies are as sacred as temples and should be treated as such. They are just that special. We should treat them that way. Show more Show less

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Sara Wilde
Modesty and chastity are related in that they both have to do with the respect we have for ourselves. When you have respect for yourself you wouldn't ever dress in a way that would make anyone think of you in any inappropriate way. You would want to do everything you can to show that you are a beloved daughter of God. They same goes for chastity. When you don't follow the law of chastity you don't show respect for yourself. You show that you would really rather value man's opinion rather than God's. As we learn from the scriptures, man looks on the outward appearance, but the Father looks on the heart. If our hearts are clean and pure, our actions and appearance will show that as well. I think the way my parents best showed me this, is by showing me the difference between the way the world looks at these things and the way God looks at this. I was then told that I could make my own decision. I choose to dress modestly because it shows more respect for the gift that Heavenly Father has given me. I know my self-worth increases when I dress modestly. Show more Show less
