Hi I'm Kelsey

I'm from North Carolina. I'm a college student about to leave for my mission in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Kelsey! I'm a sophomore in college and I'm majoring in Psychology. I love to listen to people and give advice. I also love reading and listening to music. My family is the most important thing in my life and I don't know what I'd do without them. We love to play card games and watch movies together. I also spend lots of time playing with my adorable dog! As fun as it is to be home, I can't wait to go back to school!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church by a family who is strong in the gospel. From the time I was little, I was taught about Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father by parents with strong testimonies, and for that I am grateful. However, throughout my life I have gained my own testimony. I have learned for myself that this gospel is true. It teaches Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness, and of His love for us. I have felt the influence of the Holy Ghost in my life, guiding me and testifying of Jesus Christ. I am eternally grateful for this gospel and for the Savior. I don't know where I would be without Him.

How I live my faith

For the next year and a half, I am going to be serving a mission for this Church. That means that for eighteen months, I am going to be eating, sleeping, and breathing the Gospel. I'm going to live my faith by spreading it around to others!

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Some people think that being a Mormon means you can't have fun. That everything is about rules and restrictions, but that isn't true! Being a Mormon means living free of things that can trap you, hold you back, like drugs and alcohol. We strive to live healthily and stay away from substances that are harmful. Families are extremely important to us. We believe that families are the foundation of life, and we try to build everything off of that. We try to live with our lives centered around Christ and His teachings, rather than that which the world thinks is popular. We find joy in service and in sharing the gospel. Yes, it's true that we are at church a LOT, but I honestly can't think of a better way to spend my time. Show more Show less
