Hi I'm Cabrin Beard

I'm a Legend of Zelda fanatic, a believer of Bigfoot, I'm serving in the Oregon Portland mission, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary in the Oregon Portland mission. I have been serving here for over a year and have loved every minute of it. I am the youngest in a family of 6. I have 3 older brothers and 2 older sisters. I have 2 nephews and 1 niece. They are some of my best friends. I have grown up playing video games. A personal favorite of mine is the Legend of Zelda. Saving Hyrule will never get old. I also like to play some sports. Im not good yet I still love to do it. A personal favorite of mine is baseball. I played first base and right field. My favorite team is the Colorado Rockies, especially after pulling off a win after a 22 inning game...AMAZING! Also I am a Utah Jazz fan. I wish that John Stockton and Karl Malone were still playing but I guess there legacy will continue onward in my heart. I worked at a movie theater for about 2 1/2 years. It was a lot of fun being able to see all the different movies that were coming out. The midnight showings were always the most fun. I have never seen more Harry Potters, Gollums, Iron mans, and Hulks in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this Gospel brings true happiness to my life. I have seen others who have given up on the Gospel, and I have seen that Light leave them. I continue to go to try and show our Father in Heaven gratitude for what He has done for me. I know that Joseph Smith was a true Prophet, because I would never be able to go through what he went through to restore the Gospel. I know President Monson is a true Prophet, because every time I hear him speak I can feel the Spirit and it confirms the truthfulness of the things he says.

How I live my faith

I have been the Quorum president. I like to make sure people know what my standards are. I'm not afraid to stand up for the Gospel if I have to. President Monson's talk "Dare to Stand Alone" is one of my all time favorites, because it relates to some situations I have had to face.
