Hi I'm Gregory wright

I am so happy to be on a mission serving the Lord. This really is the restored Gospel.

About Me

I was born in California but I moved to Las Vegas when I was seven. While in school I learned that i had a love for music. When I was in middle school i started playing the trumpet and continued to play all the way till I was in college. My favorite kind of music to play is Jazz. I was in the Jazz band at my middle school and at my high school and loved every second of it, I also went to a jazz camp over the summer where I got to do many improvisation songs, which is to say that its mostly just rhythm and you play what comes to mind, its free styling music style. I also love the sciences. When I return home my plan is to study marine biology and get my dream job of working at Sea World in the rescue and rehabilitation department.

Why I am a Mormon

Only my mom was raised in the church. When we moved, my mom invited the missionaries over to teach me and my dad about the church. After those lessons is when we decided to get baptized. Being eight I had no idea really of what being a Mormon meant. Over time I grew to understand more fully what being Mormon meant and truly be converted to the Gospel. From the time I was eight years old until I left for college, I didn't really appreciate the blessings I was receiving from living the gospel. When I left for college I stopped going to church, and my life suffered from that. I was not healthy, my grades were slipping, and I was not happy. When I came home and started to go to church again, things changed for the better. Life was better, easier, and happier. Having lived both with and without the Gospel in my life, I have seen the difference that it brings to your life, and everything is so much better with it. That is why I am Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have lived my life in accordance to my beliefs since I can remember. I have served in many callings in my ward, doing things like preparing, serving, and blessing the Sacrament. I also have served in leadership positions over the years including First and Second Counselor in different Presidencies. My calling before I left for my mission was preparation of the Sacrament for the Singles ward. One of my favorite ways to serve is to exercise my Priesthood. The power of the Priesthood is so immense and wonderful, I have seen it cure sickness, provide comfort, and seen it guide the lives of many to happiness.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Gregory wright
The Book of Mormon is a record of the ancient inhabitants of the Americas and their trials and dealings with God. It does not replace the Bible, but rather is another Testament of Jesus Christ that is an addition to the Bible. One is not more important than the other. Like the Bible, it is full of teachings and records of Prophets of old and their experiences with God and Jesus Christ. These prophets knew of Jesus Christ long before he arrived, and they recorded an account of when Christ appeared to this people after His Resurrection. The Book of Mormon ends with a promise to all who read it from the prophet Moroni, to all who read this book and pray with sincerity to know of its truthfulness will get a witness by the Holy Ghost that it is true.
