Hi I'm Kim

I grew up in California and am a transplant to Utah. I'm a mom of five and a very proud U.S. Army Mom. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a mom of five in a happy little blended family. My husband and I have been married for nine years. Our oldest is a combat medic in the US Army. We have a daughter serving an LDS mission in New Mexico and another son will be leaving to serve in a few months. I was born in the church, but my husband didn't join until he was twenty-eight. We both grew up in California and are transplants to Utah. I love cooking, being with my family, and photography.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church but went inactive in my late twenties when my then husband left the church. I struggled for many years to know who I was, where I was going, and I constantly worried about my children. After my divorce I decided that the life I had been living with my ex-husband was not the life I wanted for myself or my children. I started reading the Book of Mormon again and praying faithfully every night. I prayed for my Heavenly Father to guide and direct me and my little family. I knew I needed to go back to church. Through my trials I gained a greater faith in my Savior and a great knowledge of what my Father has in store for me. My relationship with my Savior is one of my greatest gifts. The knowledge that my family can be together forever brings me great peace and joy. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings me happiness like nothing else in this life ever could.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by example. I currently serve in our women's organization and help fellowship members in our church, provide service to those in need, and help plan activities for the women and families in our neighborhood.
