Hi I'm Elder Tracy Lindsay

I grew up in Vegas. I conquered cancer. I love to Dirt Bike. I have a really long Uvula. I'am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to do anything that involves camping, biking, or fishing. I am a city boy who loves country things. I love the Book of Mormon with all my might. I Love teaching others the gospel and learning new things.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know for a fact this church is the true church. I have felt it and I have prayed about it. I have been to mostly all of the places Joseph Smith has been and felt the sweet spirit their. I know that if you Pray that your questions will be answered by the power and authority of god. I invite anyone who is not part of this church to be part of it. It is a blessing to be here and to know of the truth. The Book of Mormon is true doctrine of Christ. It will teach you so much. I know that for me when I am going through a tough time, and if i turn to god for the answer and for mercy, he will provide help to me through the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am a Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I also teach 12-13 year olds that go to my church. I have such a strong testimony and i will always love to share it.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Elder Tracy Lindsay
You can know that Mormonism is true by really searching and pondering the scriptures. Also through prayer, you may have the Holy Ghost testify of the truthfulness unto you. You will gain a testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by going to church and listening to the missionaries as well. After you have asked god through prayer, take a moment to really meditate and have your mind open to new ideas. The spirit may prompt you through a sweet feeling or thought to confirm that the message the Book of Mormon contains is true, and that Mormonism is true. That a prophet leads and guides Jesus Christ's church once again on the Earth. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Elder Tracy Lindsay
The Atonement is one of the biggest principles we teach in our religion. We should strive to use it everyday. It is repenting for your sins and striving to be a better person. We all sin, none of us our perfect, but through the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can gain closer and closer to the blessings that are in store for us. Without Jesus Christ Gods plan for us would fall apart. Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins, so that we can repent and be cleansed from him. Without an atoning sacrifice, there would be no Atonement. Jesus Christ died for us and he has endured many things so that we can return back to our Father in Heaven. We must always strive to be like Christ, and endure to the end. Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Elder Tracy Lindsay
The three ways we can strengthen our faith in Jesus Christ, is reading the Book of Mormon, praying, and going to church. The reason these three things are important because without 1 the other 2 fall out of place. They go together like a puzzle. Although you may do 2 of those 3 things, it is still not complete. Increasing our faith is really important. It brings us peace and happiness. It helps us strive to be better and to live better lives. Show more Show less

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Elder Tracy Lindsay
The Book of Mormon is another witness that Jesus Christ really lived, that He was and is God’s Son. It contains the writings of ancient prophets. One of these, Lehi, lived in Jerusalem around 600 B.C. God commanded Lehi to lead a small group of people to the American continent. There they became a great civilization. The Book of Mormon is made up of different records of prophets in the ancient Americas. These prophets knew about Heavenly Father’s plan for His children and the mission of Jesus Christ. They recorded that Christ appeared, after His Resurrection, to the people in America, taught them His gospel, and formed His Church among them. The book contains the teachings of Jesus Christ, testifying of His Atonement and His love. It supports and verifies the Bible. Show more Show less

What is the First Vision?

Elder Tracy Lindsay
As a boy, Joseph Smith was surrounded by various churches which, though they disagreed with on another, each claimed to teach the truth. This caused him much serious reflection. He wanted to know which church was right. One day he read a passage in the Bible which says, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him” (James 1:5). Joseph decided to accept the invitation to ask God. In the spring of 1820, Joseph went to a grove of trees near his home and prayed to learn which church he should join. In answer to his prayer, Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, appeared to him. Joseph wrote: “When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!” Joseph was told to join none of the churches that existed at that time as the priesthood authority and Church as Jesus Christ had organized it when He was on the earth had been lost over the centuries. Joseph Smith’s First Vision marked the beginning of the Restoration of Jesus Christ’s Church to the earth. Joseph’s written account of this event is a powerful testimony of what he saw and experienced Show more Show less
