Hi I'm Gay Adair Nordfelt

I grew up in Utah, married with 2 children and 7 grandchildren. I'm a teacher, executive, missionary and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After graduating from college, my husband and I taught in Utah high schools for 30 years while we raised our family. With a MBEA degree, I taught high school business subjects and enjoyed working with students. After our children left the nest, we moved to Las Vegas where I worked as the CEO's assistant for a large French corporation and my husband sold real estate. We have traveled the world and have met many wonderful people from many different cultures, religions and nationalities. Now we are on a mission for our church and previously served in Alice Springs, Australia, and currently in Tampa, Florida. I love water sports, traveling, our cabin above Moab and my life as a mother and grandmother.

Why I am a Mormon

As a youth I participated and learned from many wonderful church leaders. I learned that I wanted to be like them, but I also learned why I admired them. The restored gospel makes so much sense and is certainly a wonderful guide for a happy life. As I learned, I gained my own solid testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I wanted my children to gain this testimony. As I raised them in the church, I taught them to love and respect the gospel and to try to gain their own testimonies. They are now teaching their children these same values and principles of living a Christlike life. I know that if they do, they will be happy, have strong marriages and wonderful families. I also understand that I can have my family with me for eternity.

How I live my faith

I grew up in the church and I have always been active. My favorite activity is playing the organ and piano for church services and programs, but I have worked in all the organizations for the children, young women, and adults. I especially enjoy organizing activities for our ward and stake so that we can get to know everyone outside of church meetings. We also worked in the community as County Fair Chairpersons, and as sports and political volunteers.
