Hi I'm Max

I love playing any sport and being with friends and family. I'm a student, I'm from Oregon and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Oregon and have lived there almost my whole life. I love the NorthWest I recently returned from a 2 year mission to Brazil. I attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and still have no idea what I want to major in. I am a brother to two sisters and I have two amazing parents. Family and friends mean the world to me. I love sports and outdoor activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for many reasons. Both of my parents are members of the church and have obviously played a large part in my desire to follow the same teachings and practices that they have. I have seen how the church and the gospel of Jesus Christ has strengthened my family and our relationships with one another. I have seen the happiness that following the commandments can bring. I am not a Mormon though just because my parents believe it. There came a time in my life when I needed to know for myself if what I had been taught was really the truth. I know our Heavenly Father answers prayers and I know He answered mine when I prayed and asked if what I had been taught was true. I know the church, and the gospel that it teaches, are true and I know that we have a Savior, Jesus Christ, who loves us very much. Through our Savior Jesus Christ I know that all of our sins and transgressions can be forgiven. Everything that I have been taught and all of the experiences that I have had continue to confirm the truthfulness of it all to me. I am grateful for the blessing it is to know something so special and life changing.

How I live my faith

One major way that I live my faith is through service. I recently returned from a 2 year mission to Brazil where I was able to every single day share a message with people not of my faith about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. During those two years the people that I served with and I were able to help people make positive changes in their lives and come closer to Jesus Christ. During those two years all of the time that I had was dedicated to this purpose, and although it was challenging to be so far from home and family for such a long time it was well worth it. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or a Mormon, requires living your faith daily. I live my faith by going to church every sunday. Reading my scriptures and praying on a daily basis. And helping out in the congregation were I attend church. This includes visiting monthly certain members of the congregation and providing service to those in need. Always being able and willing to help out where ever possible is a big part of what we try to do as Mormons.
