Hi I'm Breck Ashby

I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area, grew up in Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of 3 children, I play volleyball and after my LDS mission I will be attending BYU-Hawaii!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but struggled to find any real connection with it. I went through a lot of emotional hardships growing up and struggled to find a purpose for me to be where I was. However this was the time that I started to find our Savior's love for us and that the one I can rely on really did love me. Through church activities and going to church, I found help that I felt I knew was true. The church is what makes complete sense to me as I see everything very logically. The knowledge that I obtained through the truth and fullness of this church as well feeling Christ's love when I'm at the lowest of my lows is why I'm a member of this church. It's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

The ways that I live my faith are that I want to put others before myself and will try to find ways to serve others the best way I can. I was the 1st councilor in my priest group and avidly helped anybody that was in need in our quorum. My father and I hometaught 4 different families on a monthly basis to increase our friendship with them and received anything they were in need of. Service has always been the greatest way for me to show people that I love this church and want to live what I know.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Breck Ashby
The main answer is that our purpose is to one day be able to live with our Heavenly Father with the ones we love. We can't always be perfect like Him on this earth, but we can repent of our sins and strive to be better daily. Jesus Christ and His Atonement allows to be able to live with Him again. We are on earth to learn and gain experiences to know what is good and what is bad. Show more Show less
