Hi I'm Rachael Haws

I am kind of a big deal. I love to smile! I am a sister missionary currently in the Michigan, Detroit mission! and I'm a mormon.

About Me

HI! I am Rachael! I love to laugh and smile and I love to make others laugh and smile. I am currently serving a full time mission in the Michigan, Detroit mission, which is amazing. I have the best family ever. They make me stronger and make me a better person. My parents are amazing and have been married for 30 years. I am the 3rd of 4 kids and my little brother is currently on his mission in the Oklahoma, Oklahoma City mission. I love to sing loudly and out of tune, especially to embarrass the people around me. I try to see the beauty in each and every thing we go through, come in contact with, or live through. Each day is a gift so I try to treat it as one and thank heavenly father for each day I get to be on this earth and experience life. I am clumsy and goofy and even though I trip and fall on my face, I know my Heavenly Father will pick me back up again.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this gospel saved my life. I have no idea where I would be without it. It has helped me become a better person in so many ways and I thank my heavenly father daily for saving me. I know with all my heart this gospel is true. I feel it in my soul. God has blessed me and my family in so many ways. We have been put through the ringer. Everything that should have destroyed a family, has been thrown at as and we have made it through. I know that God blesses us in a million ways. The gospel being one of them. I honestly and sincerely hope that if you are unsure about this faith and you are reading this...you will give it a shot...I promise you, you have found truth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing my story of developing my faith and by serving as a full time missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Michigan, Detroit mission.

What is faith?

Rachael Haws
Faith is believing without seeing. Knowing that God is there and loves you with all his heart. We are sons and daughters of our father in heaven. Faith is trusting that he knows you for you. It is your own and for nobody else. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Rachael Haws
We are absolutely christians! Our gospel is centered completely on our savior Jesus Christ. We live our lives to be more Christ like. To act and do as he would. He is our savior and redeemer, the son of God. He is our rock upon which all things are built. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Rachael Haws
We perform proxy baptisms so that those who have passed on can have the truth of the gospel. They can have all the blessings we recieve when we are baptized. Now that being said, they don't have to accept the work being done for them. They still have the choice to accept the gospel or not. We just give them the option. Show more Show less
