Hi I'm Karin

I am a wife. I am a mother. I am a convert. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a wife. I am a mother. I love my family. My husband and I have been married for 20 years and have lived in 7 different states. We finally feel like we are home. I enjoy reading and have recently joined a book club. I like to walk, cook and scrap book, I love to study the scriptures. I enjoy family game nights and date nights with my husband. I wish there more hours in the day to accomplish all the things on my to do list! I was a stay at home mom for 10 years. I now work for a non-profit organization that helps to strengthen marriages and enrich families in the community. It is a very rewarding career.

Why I am a Mormon

My family and I converted in 2011. For years we had been part of various congregations and denominations, seeking to find the truth and seeking a deeper, more meaningful relationship with God. From each church, we were able to gain a portion of truth and bits of wisdom. However, we always left unfulfilled, there was always something missing. We gained pieces of the puzzle of our faith, but never all the pieces. Then we started to study the Mormon Faith. The questions we had been seeking for so long, were answered. Truth was found. The Gospel has been restored on earth today. The Book of Mormon was written by prophets many years ago under our Heavenly Fathers direction for us today. I know that if we honestly seek the truth, and pray for a witness of that truth, Heavenly Father will confirm the restoration in your heart and that you will feel that knowledge in the depths of your soul. There is such peace and joy to be found in a life lived for the Savior. When we seek to do His will and help others to do the same, we will be blessed in all that we do.

How I live my faith

I love to live my faith everyday. To me, faith is not only attending services on Sundays. It is about developing a deep relationship with my Savior, learning to follow His example and share the love of Charity with others as much as I can. I live my faith through family prayer, personal prayer, scripture study and service to others. I serve in my church as part of a leadership program for the children in our Sunday School Program and Wednesday evening activities, called Primary. Serving the children is such a tremendous blessing. There is great joy in hearing the innocent prayers of a child. To witness their innate faith in Heavenly Father. It is an honor and privilege to guide and direct the children. To help them discover the talents they have been blessed with, to teach them to learn and grow in their scripture study, to nurture their faith and help them to become the individuals that God has created them to be. I live my faith by honoring the commitments / covenants I have made with God, by following the commandments and walking with the Holy Spirit each day.
