Hi I'm Jocelyn

Small town girl, pianist, and a Mormon

About Me

I come from a family of 8. My mother, father, 5 brothers, and then myself. Having grown up in a small farming community I was able to learn how to have inexpensive fun. Since we don't have a lot of things to do besides going to the movies, bowling, and going out to eat at the same 7 restaurants, I learned to find joy in the little things. I love to be active and find myself always doing something. Being with good friends and family make whatever I'm doing soooooooo much better. I do anything from cliff jumping to water balloon fights. Eventually I'll slow down a bit and play the piano. I've been playing for 15 years now and without fail I always feel better after playing. I graduated from high school in 2008 and then attended Brigham Young University - Idaho in Rexburg, ID. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education in 2012. I then moved on to work for the University of Idaho Extension's Eat Smart Idaho Program as a Nutrition Advisor. As much fun as all of that was, I am now on to my next adventure in life. I am a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am serving in the Nevada Las Vegas West Mission. I am loving serving the Lord, and the variety of people here is Las Vegas! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is only through the Gospel that I find true happiness. I have tried to make my own happiness but it is only temporary. True happiness comes from living the gospel of Jesus Christ. It helps me through the tough times and gives me the comfort I need to get through the day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by what I do. I don't just go to church on Sunday and call it good. I take what I learn and apply it! I try to be an example of Jesus Christ the best that I can everyday. When I am out and about I want people to see me and think to themselves: Man, what does she do that makes her so happy? Of course I know that it's by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
