Hi I'm Marilyn Keyes

I've been a Foster Mom, A Floral and Wedding Designer, and a Grandma to 21 fabulous grand-kids! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When our sons were teenagers, my husband and I were privileged to host two separate amazing singing groups organized by our sons. Each group met in our home every Sunday evening for five years consecutively, singing beautiful songs, and playing our Grand Piano. I was a Foster Mom for 12 years, 17 different children have pasted through our Home. I love floral design, especially doing Prom Flowers for the local High School kids. I co-owned a Wedding Business for 13 years. We have four sons and we adopted two daughters. We have 21 fabulous grand-kids, who are the light of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love the understanding, the peace and joy that comes from studying His words and striving to live His commandments. I love that God loves His people today, just as He has in the past and that He has restored the true Church of Jesus Christ. I love that we have a Prophets today just as in old times. I love that Priesthood Authority has been restored, that miracles can and do happen every day in the lives of Latter Day Saints. I love that families can be sealed together forever! I testify that I know that I am a daughter of God and that He loves me... and I know that all men everywhere can come to know these same truths through sincere study and prayer.

How I live my faith

I have served in many, many callings in my Church and Community. I been a teacher and leader in my church. My favorite was teaching Dance. My husband and I were Dance Directors for many years, and spent lots of time organizing Youth dances, Young Adult dances and the annual Adult Sweetheart Ball. Currently I am serving with my husband as a full time missionary. Working as office support to about 230 missionaries.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Marilyn Keyes
Faith in Jesus Christ helps us want to change our lives for the better. As we study the Gospel of Jesus Christ we recognize that all of us have made mistakes or done things against the teachings of God. As we repent, we will want to change our thoughts, our desires and our habits. There is a healing, helping, enabling power in the Atonement that can help us accomplish our efforts as we seek to bring Christ into our lives, by studying and living his commandments. We will feel the joy of knowing that He has paid the price for us, and will help us in our very effort. We can rejoice in His great plan for our happiness. Show more Show less
