Hi I'm Mikey

I'm a convert. I'm an athlete. I'm from Kentucky. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently preparing to serve a full time mission for our church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a pretty talented athlete, playing five different sports in high school and skateboarding in my free time. Before choosing to serve a mission I was fortunate enough to be blessed with many scholarship offers for track and cross country. I won my regional race, and competed at the state and national level. I plan to walk-on to an athletic program after finishing my mission in Denver Colorado.

Why I am a Mormon

As a recent convert I have been able to really see the changes and blessings the church has brought into my life. Before becoming active i never thought life could be as enjoyable as it has become. I noticed that Mormons were very happy people and i never really knew why. When I would watch a movie that had scenes of sudden bursts of joyful singing i would say to myself "No one is really like that in real-life. No one is ever that happy...except the Mormons!". When i was 16 i suddenly wanted to change my life and begin living a different way. I started attending church and continued to attend by myself for an entire year before my mom and sister decided to join me. I think i have set a good example for my family although some of them are not members...yet. The reason I am a Mormon is because I love to belong to this wonderful organization that has made me the person i am today. By living the gospel principles i have been able to receive countless blessings and I would like to share the gospel with everyone so that we can all receive these blessings. Jesus Christ has a plan for all of us, I know his plan for me is falling right into place. I would like to encourage everyone to pray day and night thanking our lord, telling him about our trials, and asking for more guidance from the Holy Ghost. Trust me, prayers are answered. Thanks!

How I live my faith

I have participated very willingly for the last year and a half in my church. I really enjoy home teaching and being involved with church activities. I am preparing to serve as a missionary for my church for two years in Colorado. Pray for me and wish me luck!
