Hi I'm James Withers

I run for Utah State University as a distance runner! I am a father and a husband! I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am the fifth child of eight. I was raised in the gospel. As a child, my family spent a lot of time together hiking, camping, and many other outdoor activities. I have always enjoyed sports and the outdoors. I am currently studied biochemistry at Utah State University. I am married to a wonderful woman and we were recently blessed with a baby boy. I served an LDS mission in Sydney, Australia.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. At the age of 14 years, I desired to know if the church was true. I went to my bedroom one afternoon and said a prayer. In that prayer, I asked if the Book of Moromon and the Church of Jesus Christ were true. My prayer was answered by the power of the Holy Ghost. All my life I have strived to live the gospel. Throughout the years, my testimony has been strengthened by studying and living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I love the Lord. I want to be with Him again. I know that this gospel provides the way back to heaven. I know that if I live the gospel to its fullest, I can live with my family for all eternity. This is all made possible through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I strive to accept the Lord's will serve Him with all my heart. I love to read His holy word. It has brought me so much hope. I am so grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. My understanding of the Atonement has motivated me to share the gospel with God's children.
