Hi I'm Jordan

I'm from Idaho. I am a Physician Assistant student in Pennsylvania. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just recently finished my undergrad studies in health science and I am about to start a Physician Assistant Program in PA. I also just had surgery on my knee because I tore my ACL. I did this playing basketball which is one of my hobbies. I love sports and being active. I also love the outdoors. I wish I had more time for camping, hiking, rafting, snowboarding, and being on the lake. My favorite thing to do is to hang out with my lovely wife whom I have been married to for almost 5 months. I love cooking, eating, and learning new things. I speak Italian and I am learning Spanish and I think languages are incredible. I also love traveling and look forward to returning to Rome in the coming years. I love helping people and this is why I want to be a Physician Assistant. I have four siblings who are my best friends and I look forward to having children of my own someday.

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and of this church has not come all at once. It has been a gradual process. I am grateful that it has ben this way because this is the best way that I personally am able to learn and retain things. My testimony that God lives came as I struggled to learn how to communicate with Him in prayer over the past 15 + years. I have learned the ways in which He speaks to my heart and I have come to feel the tremendous love that He has for me. I have been able to feel his forgiveness as I have repented and changed my life. I have also come to know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world as I have repented and as I have learned about Him in the scriptures. As I have studied and applied the teachings of the Book of Mormon in my life I have come to an assurance of its divine origin and truthfulness. My life continues to change for the better as I continually read it daily. My testimony of the Book of Mormon has helped me come to the knowledge that Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet in 1830. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the Lord's prophet on the earth today. It is such a blessing to know that Jesus Christ guides his church though this man. I am very grateful for the struggles I have had in obtaining my testimony. I am grateful that I acted on the hundred's of small promptings and testimonies that I have received. Had I not done this, I would not know what I know today, and I would not be who I am today.

How I live my faith

I love my faith and try to live it everyday though my actions. My religion has become a part of whom I am. I spent two years of my life in Italy being a missionary and sharing with others the happiness that the gospel of Jesus Christ has brought to me in my life. One of my favorite things about the LDS church is the home teaching program. At least once a month I have the opportunity to go with another brother from the church to visit a couple families in the area who belong to our church. Home teaching is the way we watch out for each other. We form friendships with these families, have discussions about Jesus Christ and his gospel, and try to help each other live the principles of the gospel. Another thing I enjoy is that we are assigned different duties and callings in our church which allow us to grow and serve others. One of my recent callings was being a secretary for my local church leader. This involved setting up appointments for my leader to meet with different members of the congregation. It also consisted of having weekly meetings where we discussed how we could help certain members in the congregation. I was able to meet a lot of people through this calling and as I tried to help others the Spirit of God came into my life and blessed me in so many ways.
