Hi I'm Daniel

I'm an Engineering major from Utah. I'm preparing to serve as a missionary in the Philippines, Cauayan mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the Salt lake area of Utah. After being homeschooled and attending a public charter high school, I began my mechanical engineering degree at Utah State University in Logan Utah. I currently have my mission call to the Philippines, Cauayan mission. In the months before I leave for the Philippines, I'm working mainly as a blacksmith at a living history museum making whatever I feel like out of iron and steel. While I'm not at work or school, I enjoy spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

Simply put, it makes me happy and I know it's true. I've invested a lot of time and effort into living the gospel and I've received so much more than what I put in. I've seen first hand how God blesses people who keep His commandments. Living the gospel makes me want to be my best self and through the atonement of Christ, I can! That's what's so beautiful about the gospel - we can become so much more by relying on the Savior.

How I live my faith

Living the gospel of Jesus Christ, to me, is all about consistently doing small simple things every day to follow the example of Jesus Christ. I try to keep in mind every day that I'm a Christian and that I'm committed to being a good one. One of my favorite quotes is "forget yourself and go to work" - Bryant Hinckley. This quote reminds me that God has a work for me and along with that, I know that Heavenly Father will bless me for doing the work He gave me. During the next two years, I'll be living my faith by serving a full time mission for the church in the Philippines, Cauayan mission. During these two years I'll be testifying of Jesus Christ and serving the people of the Philippines.
