Hi I'm John Bell

I was born, raised, live and will most likely die in Utah. My family and the gospel are my life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of four great children with a loving and supportive wife. My family is my greatest interest. Being able to assist them in becoming solid people, good citizens, and faithful members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is my greatest goal. My family is one of the areas in my life that I can have an immediate effect for good and leave a positive legacy for the future generations. Beyond our family I enjoy the outdoors in all its different forms of nature. I enjoy fishing as it tends to be a peaceful time for me to relax and contemplate life's opportunities and challenges or clear my mind and simply take in the beauty of the outdoors. I enjoy many types of visual arts as my eyes are tuned to the beauty of so many things around me. Honestly I'm a pretty basic person and I'm very glad to be me.

Why I am a Mormon

Having lived in Utah all my life and being raised as a Mormon one might suppose that's why I'm a Mormon, but it is not. Wanting to know the truth for myself I took the time and put forth the effort to learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father's plan for us. I took the time to test the word of God and see if what I was taught was actually true. I personally received answers to the questions, where did I come from, why am I here, and where am I going. Those answers were confirmed to me by personal revelation through the power of the Holy Ghost. It has taken time and considerable effort to learn all I have learned so far in my life and that learning continues daily. My personal testimony of the truths of this gospel is one of my most cherished possessions in this life. It has provided strength to my soul that could come in no other way and sustains me through my trials. However the answers I have received are by no means exclusive to me and are available to all who honestly seek the truth in faith and those answers are truly priceless. That's why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

Primarily it's a matter of never loosing sight of the most vital and important things in life. Gaining a knowledge and understanding of my faith is at the core of how I see myself and everything else in this vast universe. Self, family, friends, neighbors and so on would have little meaning if I did not understand my role at this time in life's existence. Currently I have the great privilege of serving as a Primary Teacher in our ward along with my wife. We are blessed to share the gospel with these beautiful children in our class at an early and tender age in their lives. These children have been saved for this day and we strive to be instrumental in developing their trust and testimony in our Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ. We do the same thing in our home but with a more in depth and intimate relationship between one another. We believe that overall success in this life is achieved by first building an understanding of who we are, where we came from, why we are her, and where we have the potential of going. With this understanding as a foundation we believe each of our family members as well as the world will be better equipped both physically and spiritually to make wise decisions and contribute to life in the most meaningful way possible, while avoiding dangerous pitfalls that present themselves on a daily basis. I believe that living my faith daily and investing in my own well being is the first step in being prepared to reach out and effectively help others. It is amazing what can be accomplished when ones priorities are focused on true and correct principles and that is how I strive to live my faith.
