Hi I'm Cel

I grew up in the Philippines. I am a full time mom of 4 kids. I'm a Latter-day Saint.

About Me

I am a full time mom of 4 children. I love to teach & teach & teach my children anything they want & need to know. I teach them how to play the piano, to explore other musical instruments, to develop their talents. I love talking to young people & to help direct their desires in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was 8 years old. I did not fully understand then why my parents decided to change religion, but I can easily feel the difference of belonging to this new religion. I felt loved right away. I wanted to go back to church every Sunday because I knew the members will be happy to see me & my family. I enjoyed the many activities when it's not sunday until I became a teenager. I felt happy to read the words of God in the scriptures. I want to always be good. My religion became my source of peace & happiness. I did not try to find out if my religion is the only one & true church of God. I did not try to know because I did not see any teaching that is not good or any action taught us that will harm others. I accepted everthing in my religion to be right & true. I hear gossips or accusations or concerns from my friends & classmates about Joseph Smith or some doctrines of the church, but they did not change my mind in staying in my religion. The time came when I attended College & we have religion class. The doctrine taught was the Catholic doctrine. I answered all the questions of our Theology professor based on my knowledge of the scriptures. The more I answer her questions, the more I know that my religion contains much of the correct principles of the gospel of Christ. Together with my College education, I also attended Institute of Religion Course where our instructor persuaded us to read the Book of Mormon seriously & ask God if it is really His word. I did his challege & I then knew for myself from Heavenly Father through the powerful manifestations of the Holy Ghost that everything I learned are true. As a result of this knowledge, I served a mission for our church & shared the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ from my heart & from my soul. I testify until now that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's kingdom. Jesus is the Christ. He lives. Joseph Smith is His prophet.

How I live my faith

I teach the youth ages 16-17. I know their usual concerns & challenges in life, in school, in their homes. I give them encouragement to always live a clean life that the Holy Spirit can be their constant guide. I help them become more familiar with the words of God found in the scriptures.
