Hi I'm Steve

I was a military brat. I grew up in Ottawa. I like to play guitar. I love learning languages. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I went to Carleton University and studied computer systems engineering. Unfortunately, I didn't finish my degree. Now I am looking to be an English teacher. So I want to finish a degree and get a TESL certificate. I was baptised into the Anglican church as an infant. However, I decided later to be baptised a Mormon. I love rock music, and I love playing guitar. I have played since I was 15. My favourite artist is Brandon Flowers.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe this is the true church. It has brought such joy and happiness to my life. I had 3 initial contacts with the missionaries over a span of 10 years. I was a difficult 10 years to overcome, but I am glad the missionaries knocked on my door in May 2012. I was then ready to accept the Gospel and take the next steps toward baptism. I have learned through the Gospel the great healing power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I am so very grateful to be part of this church and be able to help others know what I know.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by fulfilling my responsibilities in the church. I have taught Sunday School. I also visit many people who are members to share spiritual messages. I also work with the missionaries and go share my testimony with whom they teach. I try to be an example daily by obeying the commandments, and serving others. I also try to pray and read scriptures every day.
