Hi I'm Krista

I love traveling. Music brings me joy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am studying Public Health at a university and hope to receive my master's in Social Work. Last summer I got the awesome opportunity to go to Uganda and record the life history's of some incredible women there who support themselves by making paper beaded jewelry. I loved being there so much. I enjoy learning about other cultures and the lives of people living all over the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church of God on earth today. I have had many experiences throughout my life where I have felt the Holy Ghost witness to me that God is there, that He loves me and wants so much for me to follow Him so I can return to live with Him. As I strive everyday to live the teachings of the gospel, I feel joy in my life. I know that when I follow God's commandments, I am doing what is right and doing what brings me closer to my Heavenly Father. I find peace, comfort and truth within the teachings of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I will be serving a full-time mission for the Mormon church for the next 18 months in order to share the joy I feel from being a member of this church with others. I live my faith by finding ways to learn about people from all walks of life in order to gain a better understanding of God's children who are all around me. I believe that God gave us stewardship over this earth and for me that means taking care of the earth and having concern for the environment. I try my best to do things like recycling and conserving water.
