Hi I'm Will

Runner. Filmer. Your friendly neighborhood Elder Trelease! I am a mormon!

About Me

I'm a graduate from Hillcrest high-school who loves to make short films and music videos as a hobby. Scratch that.. it´s more like my life than a hobby. A day doesn´t pass by without filiming in which I don´t feel a little sad inside. I'm the eldest sibling of two! My little sister and I grew up together in a house of 4 and have enjoyed every second of it. I have an interest in studying film in college when I return from my mission (in Mendoza, Argentina!). I have a passion for long-distance running. I ran on varsity for both Cross-Country and Track in high-school. You could say that it was the other half of my life. I always enjoyed the passing days of running in the sun, rain, snow, rainy snow, etc. In general, I would say I am quite the normal guy. I definitely like to go out with friends and see what I can do in the big world. There wasn´t too much that I didn´t love to explore and find out what was on the other side of the door! But I spent the majority of my days with the friends and family that I hold dearly!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I learned what it really means to have a strong relationship with my Heavenly Father. I´m not a mormon because my parents are mormon. Yes, they raised me into this church since I was born and they helped me come closer to the light of Christ. They are the reason why I´ve come to become familiar with it.. BUT.. I´m mormon because of the personal revelation that I received when I asked my Father in Heaven what my purpose was here. I was raised in the church by my parents; taught by leaders; lead by examples; but I made the decision to become mormon when I became to know more about God through his newly revelated scripture, The Book of Mormon, and decided to kneel on my knees in sincere prayer in order to know if these things were true. I became mormon because I received an answer a few days later that I hold dearly to my heart. It always has brought me the sweetest peace during the darkest of hours. If anyone wants to know if this Church is true, they need to put in their heart to try to know it first, and THEN ask God. That´s what I did. That´s why I know that my family and I don´t have to worry about being seperated permanently.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission as a missionary for this church here in the great ol´ providence of Mendoza, Argentina. I am working with ordinary people that do extraordinary things. I´ve been able to enjoy my time here working hard with people from all around the world in order to bring this happiness to those who need Christ (everybody). This responsibility, privilege and love that I feel here completely outweighs the pruebas, trials and negative downpours that the world tries to put on me and those that I have come to know. I watch people´s lives change everyday because of this gospel and for the love Jesus Christ has for them. Working with and watching the other missionaries perform the Lord´s work makes me remember why this church is important.
