Hi I'm Torrey

I grew up in Wyoming. I go to school at Utah State. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to sew, run, and read. I'm a sophomore at Utah State University. I was the only LDS girl in my gradutating class and the only one serving a mission. I was a swimmer in high school and I still love to swim. I have worked in the oil field and as a volunteer fire fighter.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the church. My parents were married in the Salt Lake Temple. My family is now sealed together for eternity because of their choice. I have always lived the standards set by the church and have never regretted that decision. I have seen my friends struggle in high school because of their choices and I have never had those struggles because of the guidelines of the gospel. I know that this church is true. I have prayed to my Heavenly Father and He has answered my questions about the truth of this church. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel and that we have a living prophet on the earth today. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it was translated correctly. I believe that the Bible is also true and that it is a companion to the Book of Mormon. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and our older brother. He came to earth and died on the cross to Atone for our sins. He has made it possible for us to return to our Heavenly Father and be and eternal family. I love the church and the truths that it teaches us. Obedience to these commandments given to us by God is what will make everyone happy, if only they choose to come unto Christ and be saved.

How I live my faith

I loved my singles ward at school. I was a teacher for the women in the ward. It was scary at first, but now I love to teach. I substitute teach in my home ward now. I have also worked with the children in the ward. I served as a teacher for the 3 year olds after I graduated from high school. I get to visit teach with my mom now and I work the elders in our area frequently.
