Hi I'm Richelle

BYU-I student; I'm discovering my life one day at a time, and.. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the baby girl in a family of five daughters. My four sisters are my best friends! I am so blessed to have such good friends in my life. I am a student at BYU-Idaho and I'm majoring in Communication. I currently serve as the director of the online Student Commons Council. I oversee a council of seven coordinators and we help the online students connect with one another, as well as with BYU-Idaho by advertising resources that are available to them and strengthening them in their disciple-leadership. In my free time I enjoy playing soccer, ultimate frisbee, and any type of sport. I also love going to new adventures with friends. One of the best ways to spend your time is with good friends. I love to write and speak! My biggest dream is to become a motivational speaker/writer for youth specifically in the LDS church. I hope to inspire others today and everyday for the rest of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the most precious thing I have in my life. It is my source for my true and eternal joy. My testimony is what gives me confidence when facing my every day challenges and temptations. I know Heavenly Father lives and knows me by name. I know Jesus Christ lives and atoned for my sins. I have so much comfort knowing that my Savior knows exactly how I feel. I know the Book of Mormon is true! The Book of Mormon has strengthened my testimony tremendously. I read it everyday and because of it I have more control in my life. I am grateful for personal revelation and that I am living in a manner that allows me to be worthy of the presence of the Spirit. The Church of Jesus Christ is for everyone! At first, my testimony was strong enough for me to make sure that I was doing what I was supposed to be. (Keeping the commandments, saying my prayers, etc). Now that my testimony has grown, I want anyone and everyone to share the same happiness that I behold! I promise anyone that tries to better themselves and make covenants with the Lord that they can witness the eternal joy that I testify of. I love this gospel so much and I am eternally grateful for my parents and family for teaching and faithfully raising me in the gospel. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live everyday striving to strengthen my relationship with my Savior. I try my best to pray every morning and night and do my scripture study everyday. I know that when I keep these good habits my life is enriched and I feel Heavenly Father's love for me more frequently. I visit the temple every week. When I'm in the Lord's home I feel God sharing His love and peace with me; there's no feeling like that. And I'm so grateful that there's a temple on the hill that I can attend each week. I hope to be getting my endowments soon. I also live my faith by speaking kind words, lending gentle hands, and living in a manner that the light of Christ can shine through me. I am so grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father. For their unending love and mercy. Because of them, I can be better than I am. Because of them I can one day experience true and full joy.
