Hi I'm Laci Player

I'm an Alaskan. I'm also a college student who wants to write, edit, and illustrate fiction novels. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've just completed my first year of college, working toward an English degree. I love to write and draw and am rather determined to turn my talents into an occupation. I spend my summers home in Alaska, working hard to save up for school and doing my best to wrestle with my five younger siblings and our variety of animals.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that where I am is where I find happiness. I have learned strength in who I am and that I can rely on my Heavenly Father because he loves me and cares about my everyday struggles. I've learned how to avoid many of the pitfalls in life. I've found a place where people seek to support each other - where I have found help and have the opportunity to serve as well. I am a Mormon because my heart feels full and right when I follow Christ and learn more of Him. I know that this is where I can seek closeness to God.

How I live my faith

I try to live as an example of my beliefs. I believe that life has a grand purpose. I believe that there is always a reason to look forward with hope. I put my trust in God and know that with His help I can make my way through each and every day, whether they be fair or stormy. I feel that the best way to approach life, especially when it gets challenging on me, is to keep an understanding of the bigger picture in the back of my mind as a guide for my actions and emotions. Life is hard, but that's not the point. There's much, much more! If things never changed, if we never enountered anything hard, we would never grow. I want to grow. I want to be stronger. I know what I believe and press forward every day to do what is right, and to lift anyone I can along the way.
