Hi I'm Jeff

I am originally from PA, but I moved to Garner, NC in 1996. I have been a Mormon since 2011.

About Me

I spent 4 years in the Air Force, and have worked for the same telcom company since 1990. I enjoy the outdoors (hiking, camping) and riding motorcycles. I was married in my mid-forties and my family is very important to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I converted to Mormonism late in life (mid 40s). Something was missing in my life, I was successful and had a lot of friends but something was just not quite right. When I first walked into the church I felt the love the members had for me and each other and it was real. As I continued to attend church I found what was missing in my life, a true love for my fellow man and the knowledge of the unconditional love of Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. When I first began talking to the missionaries a lot of questions I had were answered. Things began to make sense to me for the first time. I was not a quick convert as I wanted to be sure this was right for me. I now have a strong testimony of the church and our Savior Jesus Christ. My life has been blessed since I have gained a testimony of the restored gospel.

How I live my faith

I enjoy the service aspect of the LDS church. I have worked with the youth as a cub scout leader and am currently serving as a ward missionary. The focus on family and community in the LDS church is important to me and my family. We enjoy helping others in the community. Each day I try to become closer to God and more like our savior, Jesus Christ. I realize I can never be perfect like our savior but my goal is to become more Christ like each day.
