Hi I'm Luis J. Hernandez

I was born in Mexico and, moved to the United states when I was 11. I am getting ready to serve Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing guitar, and I hope I can have a job in the Music industry in the future, I love reading, playing Ultimate Frisbee and spending time with good friends. I participated in a program called Running start in Washington, as a result I now have an Associates Degree at the age of 18, I am an Eagle Scout, and hold many other scouting achievements.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church like many other member, however that did not mean I followed everything or that I believed since birth, I had a personal conversion and I believe that every member that is born in the Church has their own personal conversion as well. Mine involved, my father and mother's prayers, tears and love. They asked my heavenly father to help me, and I was helped, I started to have a desire to know if this church was true. An opportunity came to go to a church camp, in this camp I had an intimate experience with my heavenly father and his ever so loving son Jesus Christ, I felt their love and my spirit was humbled, as I prayed in the woods and asked for his answer. I know this Church is true, and there can be nobody to tell me that because I was born in the Church it was already decided that I would keep believing, because it was my decision, my desire and my love for my God, and brother Jesus Christ that changed my heart and allowed for me to hear his love for me and his testifying to me that this is God's Church.

How I live my faith

I feel like this world needs more love and less gossip, and that there isn't a reason for anybody to be bullied or be put down because of what they do or believe, and I strive daily to befriend those who are put down or thought of as less. I feel like not enough people in the world appreciate the power that small things have; things like the feeling of sand in your toes at the beach or just having a deep conversation with family or good friends. I strive to follow god's commandments as much as I can, and I love my brother Jesus Christ for his sacrifice.
