Hi I'm Winston Wu

I grew up in Boise, Idaho and Pleasanton, California. Going to BYU Idaho after my mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I am half Chinese. I have an older brother who is serving his mission in the Scotland/Ireland mission and a younger brother who is a sophomore in high school. Some hobbies of mine include snowboarding, karate, and playing the trumpet.our family moved to Pleasanton, California where I received my mission call to the Ohio, Cincinnati mission. I am a devoted citizen of the united states of america. After my mission I am planning on attending BYU Idaho and participating in the Army ROTC program that they offer there.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member my whole life, but I still have to gain my own testimony of the gospel by living the principles and standards of the church. I continue to follow the gospel because I have prayed and witnessed the happiness that this gospel can bring you. Also I have seen how it can change people spiritually and seeing that tells me that this gospel is true and with desire and faithfulness can bring you closer to our heavenly father. I can testify to you that through my diligence and and faithfulness I have felt the blessing of our heavenly father. I know that this is the true church and that the Book of Mormon is a word of god. I also know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon and that Thomas S. Monson is a chosen prophet of god.I know that through faith, diligence, and desire you can also feel the blessing of our heavenly father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to those around me who are not members and by showing lots of respect to everybody. While I was in California there were not a lot of members in my school so it was more easy to be tempted but with the few members at school we always strengthened and supported each other. In our community once a year our stake would participate in an activity called Mormon helping hands where we help clean our community and share the gospel by being the example. In my ward I have been the Deacons and Teachers quorum president and Priest 2nd assistant. As I prepare for my mission I have learned to live the gospel and serve others.
