Hi I'm Melissa

I am a wife, stay at home mom to twins, one with Cerebral Palsy, and fulltime college student. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of beautiful boy/girl twins who were born at 28 weeks. My daughter was recently diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, and I just got accepted to finish my Bachelors degree online through BYU-Idaho. I am blessed to be able to stay home every day with my kids. With Ellie's conditon we have multiple specialists and see an Occupational Therapist and a Physical Therapist weekly. We have been through the wringer in our two short years of marriage with out kids coming early, Ellie having heart surgery, eye surgery and her diagnosis of CP, but I wouldn't trade it. Heavenly Father has blessed me so much with two beautiful children, who have taught me so much. I know that he will help and guide me in all of my trials if I but seek and ask him.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and baptized when I was 8 years old. I developed my own testimony throughout the years. The biggest and most important part of the gospel for me is eternal families. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that through the covenants I have made in the temple I am sealed to my husband and my children for eternity. How sweet is the knowledge that not even death will separate us. I am grateful for the knowledge and truth the Book of Mormon gives. It has always been a constant and steady guide in my life. I know that Heavenly Father answers prayers. He loves me and will help me through anything. He will never leave me alone. Christ atoned for my sins and through his sacrifice I can become perfect! I can live with my Heavenly Father again! How sweet this knowledge is.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday. It's a great way to start each week! My husband and I strive to pray daily with each other and individually. We study our scriptures together and even though our children are very young we read with them. I attend the temple as often as I can and try to be an example to others. I am a ward missionary and help the Sister's whenever I can.
