Hi I'm Jacob McFarland

I grew up in Pleasant Grove Utah, I'm currently living in Korea, I love to golf and play basketball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love just about every sport. Growing up all I did with my free time was play sports with my buddies or my family. I played basketball, baseball, football, golf, volleyball, and even did swim team. When I got to high school sports became more serious for me because I wanted to play varsity sports. I was forced to narrow down how many sports I played so I could become better. I chose basketball and golf. I played for the basketball team 2 years and for the golf team 4 years. Golf has really become a passion of mine. I love watching any and all of the PGA tournaments. But I mostly I love watching the NBA. These two sports have changed my life completely for the better. They have both taught me how to work and achieve goals.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason I am a Mormon is because I know that this is the one and only true church on the face of the earth. I know without a doubt that we have a true prophet on the earth today President Thomas S. Monson. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that he did see Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. I also know that he translated the Book Of Mormon through the power of God. I know that all of us can return to live with our heavenly father and that it is through the atonement of Jesus Christ. He suffered and died for us so that we can be forgiven of our sins and be resurrected. Without his sacrifice no one would be able to return into God's presence. I know all of these things to be true, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

How I am living my faith currently is through serving a full time mission. I have been called to the Seoul, South Korea mission. I am able to teach people the gospel and let them know of my testimony. Serving a mission is one of the best ways for anyone to live their faith. You sacrifice two years of your life for the Lord because of your love for him and your love for the gospel. For me personally I have a love for the gospel that makes me want to share it with others and bring them unto Christ. Sure a mission is difficult but it is without a doubt the best thing that I could be doing with my life right now.
