Hi I'm Katie Hart

I'm a Mormon! I know it! I live it! I love it!

About Me

I work at Kids on the Move with kids that have autism; I do one-on-one behavioral therapy with them and I LOVE it. I learn more about God as I learn about those kiddos. I am currently a student at BYU in Provo, Utah. In addition to my love of working in the field of autism, I have a new found love for accounting surprisingly lol and I am pursuing a degree in accounting; not in the program yet but crossing my fingers! I love learning, being outside, playing the piano, doing genealogy and spending time with those I love!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I love it! Learning about the Mormon church and its doctrines started off out of just curiosity, but my journey with God has continued and kept growing. I found more answers than I thought I could here on Earth and I have found true joy. I've never looked back and have hope going forward. I believe really really that Christ's church has been restored through a Prophet of God and once I came to know that, my decision to join His church and continue in it has been a no-brainer. It has been a journey with ups and downs; I don't know all the answers but I know enough. I know I am happier here than anywhere else and echoing the words of his early Apostles, if I left, to whom shall I go? For He has the words of eternal life. -John 6:68 Learning about the doctrines of the church have just increased the faith that I had before and brought more clarity to the doctrines found in the scriptures. If you're curious what makes Mormons, who are Christians, similar and different than other Christians, please check out the beliefs section of Mormon.org!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be "An example of the believers in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” -1 Timothy 4:12. My testimony has brought me true joy. I try to read my scriptures each morning and when I do that, others seem to notice my joy and ask me why I'm so happy. Truth is, there is so much to be happy about and I can’t help but pass it along, even if just with a smile. I enjoy Pay-it-forward opportunities and I try to serve others as often as possible. I introduce myself to and welcome any unfamiliar and new faces. I try to connect with others and help them find their happiness. I enjoy sharing my story and testimony with others who are learning about the church. One of my favorite quotes is "share the gospel at all times, if necessary use words."
