Hi I'm Michael

I'm a missionary in the Dominican Republic. I love being on the water. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live on a lake and spend months of the year either in or on the water whether that is at home or on the sea. I live to surf. I play a multitude of sports including hockey, rugby, race sailing, fencing and cross-country running. After I serve my mission in the Dominican I will be pursuing dentistry through university study. Music runs deep in my family and I play piano, bassoon and drum kit. Despite traveling lots, when I'm home I mostly just hang around.

Why I am a Mormon

I follow my master Jesus Christ because my greatest desire is that someday all of us on this earth can walk back hand in hand to the presence of God and receive all that he has promised us. I came to have this desire by testing my faith in God by choosing to rely on His spirit, obey His laws and seek him in scripture and prayer. I have come to know my God and His son through these steps, and my desire to be with them defines my life and gives me purpose.

How I live my faith

I am serving a 2 year mission in the Dominican Republic where I will be teaching others to bring them to Christ. My biggest commitments before then were involved with organizing and serving youth and playing the piano.
