Hi I'm Mic

I love to compose music. I love to slackline. I am a proud student of Dixie State University. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a Piano Major at Dixie State University in Southern Utah and also enjoy playing the Clarinet, Alto and Tenor Sax, Guitar, harmonica and ukulele. I love composing music and it gives me a chance to express myself in unique ways. In 2012 I returned home from an LDS mission in Sweden where I served all around the country, gaining a love for the Swedish culture and other cultures that dot the land. I recently started slacklining and love it! I also love baking and eating treats, hanging out with friends, and I find enjoyment in the simplest of things!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and have been a member of it my whole life. From a very young age I've knelt down and prayed to know of the truthfulness of the gospel. After attending church with my family week after week, year after year, I started to love the feelings I felt each Sunday in church meetings and during various activities throughout the week. Before I was 12 years old I'd read the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ and prayed to know if it came from God. I gained a testimony in the Book of Mormon through the power of the Holy Ghost as I felt it witness to me in my mind and heart that the Book of Mormon was a true book from God. I cherish the Bible and also believe it to be the word of God. I know that the Prophet, Thomas S. Monson, is the true and living prophet for Christ's church today. Throughout my life, I've had many trials and tests of faith but I recently took on a motto that came from one of the church's past Prophets, Spencer W. Kimball, to "Do it!" I know that I can accomplish anything that is good in the sight of God if I just do it with faith. My testimony grows as I do the things that my church leaders teach me to do and their council has greatly blessed my life. I know that Jesus Christ knows us personally. He died for us and suffered for our sins, pains, and afflictions so that he could help us in every aspect of our lives. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was restored by the Prophet, Joseph Smith. It is the same church that Jesus established during his earthly ministry, as recorded in the Holy Bible, and that it still stands today as a beacon of truth and light for a world that is ever changing.

How I live my faith

I have been able to be the pianist and chorister for many church meetings and have been given the chance to organize musical numbers for worship services. For two years of my life, I taught the gospel of Jesus Christ in Sweden where I learned the Swedish language and helped others come closer to Christ. I live my faith day to day by doing what I believe, striving to be a good example of a believer in Christ.
