Hi I'm Maria

I grew up in Utah. I am working on my bachelor's degree in philosophy. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old, I grew up in the church and while I don't have all the experiences I desire, I am still on a path that I love. so.. what do I love to do?, well my interests include philosophy and religion. I love learning about how others see the world -- the human experience. In addition to philosophy and religion I also love the arts. I enjoy going the art museums, symphonies and operas. In fact I have season tickets to the opera and symphony! I have only had season tickets one year, but plan on holding season tickets as long as I am able. In a nut shell, I'm a philosophy nerd who loves operas and is a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of faith. Each time I learn about the gospel, each time I study the gospel I am given a peace within me. I feel my soul respond to truth and my soul responds to the gospel. The more I learn about it the more beauty I see. I have a testimony that God has a plan for each of us, God loves each of us and each person holds the capability to be extremely powerful and beautiful. I am a Mormon because the doctrine is true and I can feel this within me.

How I live my faith

I go to church each week for three hours. I participate in my ward through my calling(s) and visit the temple regularly. I love the gospel. I am currently preparing to serve a mission in New Zealand. Throughout my life I have developed a deep desire to let each person know who they are. If I could teach anyone anything it would be that they are limitless, divine, eternal and sacred. I know this to be true and hope to teach this truth and many other truths through my mission and other callings.
