Hi I'm Diana

I'm a Mormon. I've been happily married for 33 years. I have 6 children and 7 grandchildren.

About Me

Hi, I'm Diana. Being a mother to 6 children and a grandmother to 7 grandchildren is my greatest honor and joy. I have been a stay-at-home mom for 32 years and I treasure every minute of those years. Now, I am 53 and I am going back to college to finish a degree I started years ago. I have always loved learning and have taken time to continue to educate myself in spiritual as well as secular matters including history, science, economics and politics.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family whose heritage comes from early Mormon pioneers. My parents, grandparents and extended family were all very loving and kind. I saw and felt the blessings that come from being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They lived the gospel of Jesus Christ because they loved Him and I felt that same love. So, when I was 14 I wanted to know for myself if the Book of Mormon was the true word of God. I read it from cover to cover, prayed and asked for a confirmation that indeed the Book of Mormon was true and received the affirmative answer. I had such joy as a feeling of warmth and light filled my heart. Since then I have continued to read the Book of Mormon and each time I receive again the witness that this book is the word of God. One of the greatest blessing has been the peace it has brought into our home as we have raised our family daily reading from its pages. There has been great love and harmony in our home and I know it is a direct blessing that has come from reading the Book of Mormon and applying it’s teachings of Jesus to our lives.

How I live my faith

One of the things I do as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is to teach Gospel Doctrine, the adult Sunday School class. In this class we study all the scriptures, seeking to gain a greater testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ. Indeed, scriptures talk of Christ, rejoice in Christ, preach of Christ, and prophesy of Christ. One of my favorite books in the Bible is Isaiah. Since, many find his words difficult to understand, because they are so deep and profound, it takes very sincere study to understand them. The Holy Ghost assists us by enlightening our understanding of truth. Ancient prophets also cherished Isaiah’s prophecies and thus included them in the Book of Mormon.
