Hi I'm Chandler

I'm from Seattle, I love soccer, airplanes, being with my friends and family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've grown up in the Seattle area most of my life in a large, happy family. I enjoy playing lots of sports, but soccer is my favorite. I'm really interested in airplanes and my dream job is to be a fighter pilot in the Air Force. I also like to write code for computers and just completed a short Software Development internship. I've also just returned from my freshman year at Brigham Young University Provo, where I had a great time making new friends and growing in my faith.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been raised as a Mormon since birth. My parents worked hard to teach me to love the Lord and follow Jesus Christ and his teachings. I have always admired my parents and have seen the blessings the Lord has given them because of their goodness. I always wanted to be like them. When I became a teenager, I knew that I needed to gain my own testimony of this gospel that didn't rely on the faith of my parents. Going through the hardships and experiences that every teenager does, I made some mistakes. I soon came to know that I was always happier when I lived what this church teaches, and that things didn't go so well when I did not. I came to see how the commandments are for my benefit. I have come to know Jesus Christ by repenting and feeling forgiveness and peace that only he can provide. Reading from the Book of Mormon helps inspire me to make those changes to become more like the Savior. It provides the fullness of the gospel and testifies of Jesus Christ. I have a warm and comforting feeling from the Holy Ghost when I read from the Book of Mormon and try to live what it teaches. I have never regretted doing anything the church has led me to do. I have no doubt it will continue to be that way. I know that this gospel is true and is Christ's restored gospel on the earth. It is the happiest way to live. It provides us with the opportunity to live with our families forever, and there is nothing I want more.

How I live my faith

I'm in Wisconsin right now serving as a missionary and helping others to come unto Christ and deal with the problems and struggles they are facing. I have the opportunity to work everyday to invite others to read from the Book of Mormon and experience the blessings it offers us, and come to know if the church really is true for themselves. I also attend church every Sunday to be with some amazing people and to think about the Savior and what I need to work on next week to become more like him.
