Hi I'm Joshua Pinnock

I grew up in Salt Lake City. I have been active in the mormon church all my life. Now I’m going on a mission in Italy.

About Me

I love to play all kinds of sports. My favorite one I ever played was baseball but I also love basketball, volleyball, tennis, golf, lacrosse, ultimate frisbee and archery. This last year I played on an ultimate frisbee team that was ranked 3rd in state. The year before that I played on a lacrosse team. I love to go on hikes, backpacking, and just about anything else outdoors. I love to do things with my friends and from my school there are about 90 boys from my graduating class who are going on a mission. I am at the belief that country music is one of the best things on the planet.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love our faith. When I go to church or read the scriptures I feel a unique spirit that testifies to me that what I am a part of is true. I know that because of this gospel I can return to my Father in Heaven and live with my family forever. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and because of that I know that everything else is true. Joseph Smith was a true prophet who did all he could to spread the gospel and allow the rest of the world to have this wonderful gift of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

In my church I have helped by being a leader in my teachers group and was in the priest presidency. I home teach an elderly couple in my ward, a widow, and an inactive couple. I love going to their houses and just talking to them. Doing this helps them and me feel a bigger connection to each other and the ward. Every time I go to church or a church activity I feel the true love of Christ from those around me. It is rare that I feel this love anywhere that isn’t associated to my church. It is such a great feeling that I don’t know what I would do without it.
