Hi I'm JenniLyn Gunderson

I lived in Peru for 4 years; I am a mother of 5; and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a wife and mother and spending time with my family. I also enjoy reading; learning; rock climbing; singing; traveling; family history; relaxing by a fire; playing the violin; and playing softball and volleyball. Teaching my children--from first learning to pray to reading to laundry--is a big part of me. Creating a home that is Christ-centered, a place of refuge where peace and serenity prevail, is my goal.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors, who all joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in its infancy, have given me a legacy of faith that I also want my children to gain. That is my basis, but I have gained my own testimony of Heavenly Father and His love for each of us; that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins and prepare a way for us to return to live with Him again; that Joseph Smith is a prophet and translated the Book of Mormon, which is true and brings such great blessings as we study and apply it in our lives; that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Savior's true Church on the earth; and that the Church is led by a living prophet today, Thomas S. Monson. I am a Mormon because the gospel is the plan of happiness and the way to return to live with Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

I am an activity days leader for 8-11 year old girls; we have lots of fun and work on accomplishing different goals. I'm striving to be more Christlike and serve and love others as He does.
