Hi I'm Tyler Dollar

I am from Alpine Utah. I am a longboarder, a musician, I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest in a family of 8. I love to longboard, play rugby, the guitar, and sing. Music and family are my passions in life.I recently returned from serving a full time Mission in Ventura, California and loved every moment. I had the opportunity to serve my Father in Heaven and share this Gospel with the amazing people of California.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church and have decided to continue in this faith because of the happiness and knowledge it has brought to my life as well as my family. I know that this is church is the restored church that our savior Jesus Christ established while he was on this earth and that it has the fullness of the gospel. I know that it is led by a holy man(a prophet) called of God that works through revelation from Him. I know that the power in which our prophet works is through the same power and authority that Jesus Christ had, also known as the Priesthood. I know that this Priesthood truly is the power to act in God's name according to His will. I know that Joseph Smith was called by God to restore His church and that he translated the Book of Mormon with the help of our Father. I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, it doesn't replace the Bible but adds another undeniable testimony of Jesus Christ's life. I would encourage anyone who has questions to seek them out, ask the members or ask the missionaries. We love to answer any questions you may have. I would also invite you to read the Book of Mormon and do as it says in Moroni 10:3-5, "ponder in your hearts... ask if these things are not true; and if ye ask with a sincere heart and real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you by the power of the Holy Ghost." I have had a personal confirmation that this book is true and that it is another testament of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live constantly trying to serve others in anyway possible and follow the example that Christ has set for me.

Where did Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints begin?

Tyler Dollar
To answer this completely, this church began with Jesus Christ during his earthly ministry. He established a church where he called apostles and performed many ordinances. When he was crucified and the apostles later died many of these things that He established were lost. Joseph Smith in the year 1820 prayed to know which of the churches were true. He had an amazing experience where because of the sincerity and desire he had God our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him. There he was told that none of the churches at the time were led by Christ but they drew near to him. He was also told that he would be apart of a great work in restoring Christ church to this earth. Joseph Smith through the power of God was able to translate the Book of Mormon and was able to establish once again Jesus Christs church on this earth. In 1830 the Prophet Joseph Smith was able to organized The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints through the guidance and direction of God the Father and Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
