Hi I'm Ellen Wynn

I've lived everywhere. I love the ocean. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Japan and grew up in Maryland. My dad is Mormon and my mom is Buddhist. I'm a nursing major and I've studied at BYU, BYU-Hawaii, and a little community college in southern California. I grew up playing flute and piano. In high school, I played boy's lacrosse. I have a passion for all things outdoors, especially the ocean. I picked up surfing while I was in Hawaii and California and my favorite thing about it is how peaceful I feel sitting in the water as I wait for the waves. Everyday I tell myself what a beautiful world I live in. I'm currently serving a mission in Singapore and Malaysia and love the people.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because my faith has brought me more joy than I could ever comprehend, and it just keeps getting better. I was born into the church, but when I was about 15 or 16 I had doubts about my beliefs. My parents were wise enough to let me decide for myself what I wanted to do. After years of soul-searching, earnest prayer, and studying, I knew that the Gospel of Jesus Christ was true because of the unconditional love Jesus has for everyone and the peace it gives me. I used to be too shy to want to share my faith with others, but now I can't help but try to share the joy the gospel brings me, which is why I'm serving a mission.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a friend to others, no matter where they come from or how little I think we have in common. I also try to be the best person I can be, especially in those situations where no one is watching.
