Hi I'm Karen

I live in Idaho. I have a great family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have seven grown kids, and 8 grandkids! :-) I love it when our family is together. My grandkids are so fun! I love nature and people. I love learning. I am currently enrolled in college, where I am learning many new things, and meeting a lot of new friends. I live in the country away from any cities, and very close to farms. I enjoy learning about gardening and trying to do it. I learn more every year. Sometime in the future, I'm going to have a great looking place! :-)

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a mormon? I come from a part member family. My mother being the member. When I was young I went to another church. My parents divorced, and my mother started attending the Mormon church again. I started going with her, so she wouldn't have to go alone. I took the missionary discussions several times, from the time I was 12. My testimony slowly grew, as I would go to a different church with my dad sometimes, and with my mom to the LDS church sometimes. When I was 15, I was going to quit listening to the missionaries. The Holy Ghost bore an unmistakable witness to me that that would be a HUGE mistake. It was so strong, and I knew that I should keep listening to the missionaries. I knew Heavenly Father loved me, and it was the right thing to do. I've never regretted it, and eventually got baptized. My testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has continued to grow through the years. It is precious to me. The gospel of Jesus Christ has guided my whole life, and helped me teach truth to my family. I have a testimony that there really is a Holy Spirit and he can bare witness to us of truth. That is his calling, and I have felt him many times in my life. He has taught me and guided me. Because of the Holy Spirit who Jesus sent to us, I know that God lives. I know he is the Father of our spirits, he lives in Heaven, and he loves us. I know there is life after death. We are all children of God. The reason for this earth and our being here is for us to learn and gain experiences that will help us. When we die, our spirits leave our bodies, and return to our Heavenly Father. We are all brothers and sisters in the same family. I love that!

How I live my faith

I am active in church, and enjoy serving there. I've served as a teacher in all the youth organizations of the church, as a visiting teacher, a cub scout leader. I try to live my faith by being friendly, helpful and kind to people I meet. I live by the teachings and policies of the church in my every day life. They are a great blessing to my life. I don't drink or smoke, and strive hard to live the "Word of Wisdom" which teaches a healthy way to live. I live so that I can attend the Temples of the Church, and feel peace and happiness there.
