Hi I'm Lisa

I am a mother. I work with children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Lisa. I have three lively children that eat loads. I am a teaching assistant in a primary school and work with autistic children. I was born into a large, loud family and am the oldest of six children. I like to read forensic thrillers and teaching my son to play football. I enjoy going on trips with my family and taking them for walks in nature. I enjoy having a laugh with my brothers and sisters and going on dates with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have grown up in a family full of people who live the same values as me. Going through the church in my youth provided me with the opportunity to feel the spirit for my self and know the truthfulness of the gospel. We were always told to test the gospel." If you want to know if its true, test it." and I did. As I lived the gospel it made me happy and even though its hard sometimes all the good things in my life I have because of the church and obedience to the gospel standards. I love my Savior and am so grateful for the chance I have to know him and to turn to him in prayer. I know we have a prophet on the earth, and that if we follow his guidance will will be blessed and happier for it.

How I live my faith

I love fulfilling my callings in the church. I went to university to qualify as a teacher and have always wanted to teach. It has been a strength to me to be able to use and develop these skills in church. I teach the Sunday School lessons and enjoy the studying and preparation that this involves. It always helps me listening to other peoples views and experiences about what I teach. Lots of people have told me how they watch me, the way I act and the way my family is (which is a bit scary since we are far from perfect) but it helps me to remember that one of the best ways I can show my religion is through the way I treat other people.
