Hi I'm Gabby Jensen

I'm a devoted aunt. A proud Utahn. Future nurse. A Returned Missionary from the Iowa Des Moines Mission, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in American Fork, Utah where my family lived for about 5 years. We then moved to Mesa, Arizona for 10 years. Although we loved it there, we couldn't stay away from "our home", so we moved back to Utah in 2009. I attended Lone Peak High School and graduated in 2012. I am the baby of the family, which basically means that my two older siblings tortured me growing up. But, I still love them. I am 22 years old, going on 6 years old. Acting like an adult is harder than it looks! I am an avid pinterest-er, and like many others have my wedding, my home, and dinner for the next 10 years planned out. I quote at least one movie or TV show in every conversation I have. My favorite ones to use are Nacho Libre and The Office. (Dwight Shrute is the man!) My 2 nephews and soon-to-be niece are my favorite babies, and my mom and sister are my best friends. If you haven't guessed already, my family is the greatest! Makes me excited to have my own one day. I am currently in nursing school, and have plans to become a Labor and Delivery nurse. I returned home from serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Iowa Des Moines Mission in February of 2015 and am STILL trying to get a grip on my life and figure out what is next. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Gospel of Jesus Christ makes me happier than anything in this life could. I have come to the knowledge that my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ know me personally and that they love me more than I could comprehend. Through diligent prayer, scripture study, and the amazing examples of those around me, I know without a doubt that Jesus IS the Christ and that He has provided the most perfect gift He ever could have offered me... the Atonement. One of my favorite lines in a song goes like this, "If I were the only one, He still would have come." No words have ever rung so true to my heart. I know the Book of Mormon to be the truest book on the earth today. It was written and translated by the power of God. I know that Joseph Smith at age 14 knelt in prayer and that he did see God the Father and his son Jesus Christ. God DOES answer our prayers if we will have the faith to receive an answer. I am a Mormon because I have the knowledge of and a testimony of eternal families, and the privilege I have of returning to my Heavenly Father and Savior, if I live the way they have shown me to live. This is the greatest blessing in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a light to others. I try to live my life in such a way so that people who don't know Jesus Christ, will want to know him because they see how happy I am to know Him. I try to be an example by the way I carry myself, the way I speak to and about others, and the way I act. I try to share my love and testimony of this Gospel every chance I get.
