Hi I'm Nancy

I grew up in Utah. I like to sing while I work and play. My life is a musical. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a typical suburban neighborhood with my 2 older brothers and best friends next door. Spent my child hood wishing I were a cowgirl, doing tom boy things, and loving animals. I always knew I was going to be a Vet when I grew up, until my first internship where I discovered I'm extremely allergic to most dogs... My Dad and older brother and I took Martial Arts classes together for about 7 years and became the 3 (ninja) musketeers. I went to college, just trying (struggling) to decide what to do with my life. My only problem is I want to do Everything! I studied Spanish and sang in Choirs all through Junior High and High School. Got a scholarship from being in the City Royalty, and met my sweetheart during (wait for it...) a musical. :D I was a music major at first and then considered linguistics and culinary arts. I took a ceramics class and decided I had finally found my calling in life. I couldn't stay out of the studio. I love pottery! In conjunction with that I also want to be a massage therapist. And I can't forget my love for the country side. Right now I'm In the MTC in Provo, preparing to serve as a full time missionary In Seoul Korea! My call was a testament that God knows me so much better than anyone else, even myself. I cannot wait to live, and learn, and serve, and share the greatest blessing in my life - the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I thank the lord everyday for the blessing of the restored gospel in my life. I feel like my world has been illuminated by my Savior, much like a sunrise brightens and warms the earth after a long dark night. Having the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation gives me peace and hope and faith, when a suffering world cries out in anger and grief and fear. Things that may have once been confusing or unclear become simple. Our purpose is not a mystery. There is life after death. Our potential is limitless. God is merciful, He is our father and loves us each individually. I find comfort in the Holy Ghost as a companion. I am overwhelmed with the love of my Savior, who atoned for all the sins of the world. I am proud and grateful to be a Mormon because I do not have to live in the darkness. I choose to live in the light of Gods love.

How I live my faith

Just before my mission, I was called to be the 10 year old primary teacher and I can honestly say it's the best calling I have ever had! I was terrified at first, but it was nothing a few prayers and some good preparation couldn't fix. When it comes down to it, there is no better way for me to live my faith than to serve a mission. "...I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God..." (3 Nephi 5:13) As a missionary, each and everyday brings me closer to my Savior. As I study the doctrine of Christ, I also strive to develop more Christlike attributes. Serving a mission was the best decision I ever made.
