Hi I'm Devon

I've lived in Idaho my whole life and am now headed out on a mission to Mexico. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised up in the gospel by my great parents. As long as I can remember, they taught me how to work, how to love, and how to pray. Ever since I was little, I played sports, but I could never find one that I absolutely loved and had a passion for. Finally in high school, my friend told me to try ballroom. I joined the team that she was on and had a blast. I hope to continue this after my mission. As a newly graduated senior from high school, I am headed out on my mission and will soon be in Mexico spreading the word of God to all of his children there. I will be learning the Spanish language, praying that it will come to me quickly. After my mission, I am going to college to get a degree in possibly some kind of engineering. I plan to be married and have a great family.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I have been in the church my whole life, I still have a testimony of my own. I know my Heavenly Father loves me and has set guidelines for my life, not to restrict me, but to protect me from the world and its crazy ways and beliefs. The standards I have learned as a youth have gotten me through high school a lot easier and without getting into trouble. The gospel has taught me of the Plan of Salvation and how I can be with my family forever. I am especially excited to fin my wife and be married to her for all eternity and love her even after death. I love my Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ, my Savior, and I am grateful for the Holy Ghost who testifies the truth of this to me.

How I live my faith

I have been involved with the church's children and youth groups. I took all four year of seminary, teaching me a lot about the gospel and increasing my testimony. Throughout my senior year, I was called as the second assistant to the bishop. This means that I, along with my friend who is the first assistant, help the bishop in the wellbeing of the 16-18 year old youth in my area. Now, I am called to be a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am to preach the gospel in Mexico, Spanish speaking.
